Doctrine of the Holy Spirit and Gifts of the Spirit - K Santosh William

The doctrine of the Holy Spirit is very important because the Holy Spirit is not just a power or influence, but He is God Himself. Throughout the Bible, I can clearly see His work in creation, salvation, conviction of sin, guidance, and empowering believers for service. Many churches today misunderstand the work of the Holy Spirit, especially concerning tongues and sign gifts. Because of this, we must study the Scriptures carefully and understand the true biblical teaching about the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts. First, the Holy Spirit has personality. He is not simply a force or an emotion. The Bible gives many examples showing that the Holy Spirit has personal characteristics. He speaks (Acts 13:2), teaches (John 14:26), guides (Romans 8:14), and can be grieved (Ephesians 4:30). Only a person can do these things. Jesus also referred to the Holy Spirit as “He” in John 16:13, which shows personhood. The Holy Spirit also comforts believers and helps them in prayer according to Roman...

The Person of Jesus Christ - K Santosh William

The Person of Jesus Christ stands at the very center of my faith as a believer. Christianity does not rest primarily on moral teachings, church traditions, or spiritual experiences, but on the truth of who Jesus is. Everything in the Christian faith rises or falls on His identity. If Jesus is not who Scripture declares Him to be, then salvation has no foundation and our faith has no certainty. Through my study of Basic Bible Doctrine 1, I have come to understand more deeply that the doctrine of Christ is His full God, His full humanity, and the union of both in one Person is foundational to biblical Christianity. This conviction is not based on human reasoning, but on the clear and consistent testimony of Scripture. I believe with all my heart that Jesus Christ is fully God, fully man, and one Person forever, and knowing Him in this way transforms how I worship, serve, and live. The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus Christ is fully God. His divine being is not something He acquired; i...

Doctrine of Salvation - K Santosh William

Salvation stands at the very heart of the Christian faith and remains the central theme throughout Scripture. It represents God’s redemptive act of rescuing humankind from sin and its consequences through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This essay explores salvation from five perspectives: how sinners are saved, how God initiates salvation, how believers respond to it, the assurance of salvation, and the purpose and fruit of salvation. Salvation is the divine expression of God's love toward us, which is a free gift, available to all, but only received by those who believe. Through these truths, we witness God’s grace, justice, and love are the essential foundations of biblical teaching on salvation. At its foundation, salvation is a story of God reaching us with compassion and purpose, long before we ever realized the need for Him. God’s plan to rescue humankind wasn’t just a response to our failures, but a loving design that began before time itself. Through Jesus’ lif...

Early Church Wisdom for Modern Life - K. Santosh William

The first Christians met every day. They listened to the apostles   teach , shared   meals ,   prayed  together, and   helped  each other (Acts 2:42-47). No one was poor because they shared things and gave to those in need. Later, they picked seven   good men , like deacons, to make sure food went to everyone, even widows (Acts 6). This shows us to care for our church family with real help and   teamwork . Spirit-empowerment defined their boldness. Filled with the  Holy Spirit at Pentecost  (Acts 2:4), they spoke  fearlessly  despite persecution, prioritizing  God's word  over human threats (Acts 4:19–20).  Miracles  and joyful praise marked their lives, with apostles testifying powerfully to Jesus' resurrection (Acts 4:33).  Integrity  mattered too; Ananias and Sapphira's deception warned against hypocrisy, emphasizing honest hearts before God (Acts 5:1–11). Apply these by prioritizing dail...

The Origin of Satan's Desire to Be Like God - K Santosh WIlliam

Understanding Satan's Aspiration Where did Satan get it in his heart that he wanted to be like God? Where did Satan develop the idea that he would ascend and be like the Most High? This teaching unpacks the biblical root of that prideful desire. Biblical Source of Satan's Jealousy To answer this question, we look to the Bible. In Genesis, chapter one, verse 26, God says, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." God continues, granting man dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over all the earth, including every creeping thing that moves on the earth. The Catalyst for Satan's Fall The catalyst for Satan's fall was his jealousy. Satan was envious of the dominion God gave to humanity—this beautiful angelic being, upon witnessing a lowly creature being granted divine authority and made in the image of God, felt jealousy begin to stir in his heart. That jealousy fueled his rebellion, as described in Isaiah 1...

The Choice of Death in Our Lives

Many people are very serious about planning their future: education, career, business, retirement, and dreams. Yet surprisingly, very few ever plan—or even think about—their own death. We often ask, “What will I become in life?” but rarely ask, “If I were to die today, am I ready?” Death is not something we can avoid. It is not the enemy of life—death is part of life itself.  “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” (Hebrews 9:27) 1. Life Is Full of Choices, Including the Choice of Death The Bible does not hide the reality of death. God speaks openly and honestly about it: “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life…” (Deuteronomy 30:19) God gives humanity a choice. The tragedy is that many people live as if death does not exist. The question is not when we will die, but how we will die: - in Christ, or - outside of Christ. 2. Humanity Pursues Life but Forgets Its Final Destination Modern society is ski...
